Something Fest is a collaborative creation, built with the passion and expertise of incredible individuals from across the country and abroad.

Each year, we unite the digital, innovation and technology ecosystems to spark new ideas and forge connections that shape the future of our organisations and communities.

There are a number of ways you can get involved with Something Fest including:

Attend an event

Join us at one of our activations throughout the year including our community events in April and July and the main festival in August.

Whether you are keen to foster thought leadership; identify growth opportunities for your organisation; learn about tech or digital innovations; understand the human element in technology or simply want to network with like minded people, Something Fest is for you.

Something Fest is built in collaboration with organisations bold enough to imagine what’s next for Queensland and Australia.

In 2026, we’re partnering with leaders who see digital, innovation and technology as catalysts for change and who want to work with us to shape the conversations, experiences and connections that will drive our communities forward.

Each year we search high and low for thought leaders, mischief makers, tech and digital legends like yourself, to join us in creating the magic that is Something Fest!

From the multiple stages between Something Digital and Something Tech to our many activations throughout the year, we are always on the hunt for individuals who have a story to tell and wisdom to share.

Volunteer

We’re passionate about nurturing and giving opportunities to our next generation of digital leaders. With this in mind, we offer a limited number of volunteer positions to those who are currently studying and yet to start their career.

All volunteers will be asked to help out on one full day of Something Fest and in return we will gift you a pass to attend the second day of the festival on us. If you’re keen to volunteer, check out the opportunities on the Something Fest website.

Quantum Activator

Quantum Australia is the national centre for quantum growth. This pioneering organisation unites Australia’s top research institutions, industry leaders, and quantum-focused enterprises. Its mission is to accelerate the development and adoption of quantum technology by fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and nurturing a vibrant quantum ecosystem.

Funded by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, Quantum Australia aims to fundamentally shift the dial on the translation of quantum technologies, and position Australia as a global leader in the quantum landscape.
